Food Justice & Summer Nutrition

Dignified food access, nutrition education, and summer nutrition readiness.

We address food insecurity through food-access partnerships, nutrition education, family-centered programming, gardens, and summer nutrition planning. Young people cannot fully learn, grow, or thrive when food access is uncertain. Food justice is not only about meals — it's about dignity, health, family stability, education, culture, and community power.

Summer nutrition readiness

Preparing summer nutrition for the right site partner.

Blokk Akademy is pursuing participation in the USDA Summer Food Service Program, with renewal in progress for 2027, and plans to activate meal service once a qualifying site partner is secured. Our goal is to ensure young people have access to nutritious meals during summer and other periods when school-based meals are limited.

Seeking a qualifying site partner to activate meal service
No meals are currently in service. Service begins once a site is secured and activated.
Site partnership opportunity

Could your space help feed kids this summer?

We're seeking aligned, eligible site partners with access to children and youth, community trust, safe space, and the ability to support meal logistics with us. A strong site partner may include:

Schools
Churches & faith institutions
Community centers
Youth-serving organizations
Recreation sites
Apartment communities
Neighborhood hubs
Summer camp locations
After-school & enrichment programs
Food access, education & community power

Beyond meals — the full pathway.

As this pathway develops, we'll build programs with partners that are compliant, accessible, culturally grounded, and responsive to community need.

Food Access Partnerships

Working with food banks, farms, schools, and local leaders to connect families with food resources.

Nutrition Education

Workshops on healthy eating, food choices, meal planning, and the link between nourishment and well-being.

Gardens & Sustainability

Community gardens that reconnect families with land, food, responsibility, and shared care.

Culinary & Family Wellness

Cooking demonstrations, family wellness sessions, and food-centered community events.

Help us activate summer nutrition

If your space could be a fit, let's talk.

Blokk Akademy has prepared for summer nutrition programming and is seeking the right site partners to activate access. If your school, church, community center, youth program, or neighborhood organization may qualify, we welcome a conversation.
